Heatwave Hot Honey Bacon Jalapeño Poppers
Ingredients:
- 10 fresh jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 10 slices of bacon, cut in half
- 2 tbsp Heatwave Hot Honey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Toothpicks (Optional)
Instructions:
-
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
-
Prepare Jalapeños: Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. Be careful to avoid touching your face and wash your hands thoroughly after handling the jalapeños.
-
Make Cheese Filling: In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
-
Stuff Jalapeños: Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling them generously.
-
Wrap with Bacon: Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with a half slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
-
Bake: Arrange the bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the jalapeños are tender.
-
Add Heatwave Hot Honey: Remove the poppers from the oven and immediately drizzle with Heatwave Hot Honey while they are still hot.
-
Serve: Let the poppers cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy them warm as a delicious appetizer or snack!
