GRILLED HOT HONEY MUSTARD CHICKEN WINGS

GRILLED HOT HONEY MUSTARD CHICKEN WINGS

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split into flats and drums
  • 1/2 cup Heatwave Hot Honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp whole grain mustard
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for extra smokiness)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Grill:

    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 375°F to 400°F). If using a charcoal grill, set up a two-zone fire, with one side for direct heat and the other for indirect heat.

  2. Season the Wings:

    • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

  3. Grill the Wings:

    • Place the wings on the grill over direct heat. Grill for 5-7 minutes per side, or until they develop a nice char. Then, move the wings to the indirect heat side of the grill, cover, and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the wings are cooked through and crispy.

  4. Prepare the Hot Honey Mustard Sauce:

    • While the wings are grilling, combine Heatwave Hot Honey, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, melted butter, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl. Mix until smooth.

  5. Toss the Wings:

    • Once the wings are done grilling, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the hot honey mustard sauce over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.

  6. Serve:

    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately. These grilled wings are perfect for a summer BBQ or game day snack.

Enjoy the smoky, tangy, and spicy flavor of these Grilled Hot Honey Mustard Chicken Wings!
