HOT HONEY CHICKEN SKEWERS

Hot Honey Chicken Skewers

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs chicken thighs or breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup Heatwave Hot Honey
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Metal or wooden skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for at least 30 minutes before using)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:

    • In a large bowl, whisk together the Heatwave Hot Honey, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Marinate the Chicken:

    • Add the chicken cubes to the bowl, ensuring they are fully coated with the marinade.
    • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably 2-4 hours for maximum flavor.
  3. Prepare the Skewers:

    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
    • Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the skewers, ensuring an even distribution.
  4. Grill the Chicken:

    • Place the skewers on the preheated grill.
    • Grill the chicken skewers for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken is fully cooked and has nice grill marks. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Garnish and Serve:

    • Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
    • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
