HOT HONEY HERB & CHICKEN FLATBREAD

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 pre-made flatbreads or naan
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp Heatwave Hot Honey
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • In a medium bowl, mix the chicken pieces with olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper until well coated.
    • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and lightly browned. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. Assemble the Flatbread:

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • Place the flatbreads or naan on a baking sheet.
    • Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over each flatbread.
  3. Add the Chicken:

    • Distribute the cooked chicken pieces evenly over the cheese on each flatbread.
    • Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the chicken and cheese.

  4. Bake:

    • Place the flatbreads in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the flatbread are golden brown.

  5. Finish with Hot Honey:

    • Remove the flatbreads from the oven.
    • Drizzle the Heatwave Hot Honey over the top of the flatbreads.

  6. Garnish and Serve:

    • Optionally, garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
    • Slice the flatbreads into pieces and serve hot.
