HOT HONEY HUMUS

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
  • 2 tbsp Heatwave Hot Honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Water (as needed for consistency)
  • Paprika, for garnish
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Blend the Ingredients:

    • In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and ground cumin.
    • Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

  2. Add the Heatwave Hot Honey:

    • Add the Heatwave Hot Honey to the hummus mixture.
    • Blend again until the honey is fully incorporated.

  3. Adjust Consistency:

    • If the hummus is too thick, add water a tablespoon at a time, blending after each addition, until you reach your desired consistency.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Serve:

    • Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl.
    • Drizzle a little more olive oil and Heatwave Hot Honey on top.
    • Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.

  5. Enjoy:

    • Serve with pita bread, fresh veggies, or use as a spread on sandwiches.
