HOT HONEY SWEET TEA FRIED CHICKEN

HOT HONEY SWEET TEA FRIED CHICKEN

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups of sweet tea
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Hot honey (HEATWAVE)

Instructions:

Step 1: In a large bowl, pour the sweet tea over the chicken breasts. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Step 2: In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined. This will be your seasoned flour mixture for coating the chicken.

Step 3:  Remove the chicken from the sweet tea marinade and let any excess liquid drip off. Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour mixture, making sure to coat it thoroughly.

Step 4: In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat enough vegetable oil to fully submerge the chicken breasts. Heat the oil over medium-high heat.

Step 5: Place the breaded chicken breasts into the hot oil and fry the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 6: Drizzle Heatwave Hot Honey over the fried chicken just before serving. You can adjust the amount of hot honey according to your taste preferences. The combination of the crispy, savory chicken and the sweet and spicy hot honey creates a delicious flavor contrast that is sure to impress!
