Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup hot honey (HEATWAVE)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste for desired level of spiciness)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons oil of choice
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1: In a bowl, whisk together Heatwave Hot Honey, soy sauce, Sriracha sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Step 2: Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure each piece is evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Step 3: In a large skillet, heat the oil of choice over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated chicken pieces to the pan, reserve any excess marinade for later use.
Step 4: Cook the chicken for about 6-8 minutes until fully cooked.
Step 5: Once the chicken is cooked, pour the reserved marinade into the skillet with the chicken. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until it thickens slightly and glazes the chicken.
Step 6: Once the sauce has thickened and coated the chicken evenly, remove the skillet from the heat. Transfer the sweet and spicy chicken to a serving platter and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish, if desired. Enjoy your Sweet and Spicy Chicken with Heatwave Hot Honey!
